HANFORD REACH INSTALLATION > Photographs and Video

Downwind
2019

Video created for the Hanford Reach installation by Michael Paulus. With Glenna Cole Allee: sound, conceptual obsession.

The Hanford Reach floor-projection video sequence cycles through images of Salsolas/tumbleweeds; maps of the Hanford Site and the railroad lines that shuttled materials throughout the area; maps of the multiple chemical plumes that reach under the site toward the Columbia River, compiled by Glenna Cole Allee and animated by Michael Paulus, with his own creative videography. Michael Paulus created the aerial sequence in "Downwind." Photographer and animator Phillip Mudd also worked collaboratively with Glenna Cole Allee to created the Salsola animation sequence.

Many thanks to my brilliant collaborators for making the video and animation possible and contributing their own creative innovations.
